Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal announced the launch of their new bursary program, which will be offered at the beginning of the 2019\/20 school year to support their mentees in their post-secondary studies.<\/h5>\n

The new annual BBBSGM bursary program is designed to encourage and support students who are or were involved with the organization as mentees and who have a desire to pursue post-secondary education. Bursaries of $1,500 per year for pre-university programs and $2,500 per year for university programs will be available to students and will be disbursed over a maximal period of 3 years.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0I see the impact our organization has had on the youth who receive support. We are truly grateful for the donation received for the launch of this bursary program, and we believe it will open up a range of new opportunities for our mentees who want to develop themselves through academic pursuit,\u00a0\u00bb says Maxime Bergeron Laurencelle, Executive Director of BBBSGM. \u00ab\u00a0Access to education is a key factor in empowering young people. We want to ensure a better future for our community by recognizing the talents of our youth and ensuring that they have the tools they need when they enter the workforce.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
