Through regular outings, a close relationship develops between mentor and mentee. Building meaningful and supportive relationships with mentors helps to unlock the full potential and equip these youth for the transition to adulthood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>We observe significant improvements in 2 areas of development in the youth: emotional and social skills and executive functions (social awareness, responsible decision making, self-management and self-awareness, optimistic thinking, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This program is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gfgsmtl.qc.ca\/nouveau-programme-de-mentorat-pour-les-16-21-ans-issus-de-la-dpj\/\">financially supported<\/a>\u00a0by the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msss.gouv.qc.ca\/\">Minister for Health and Social Services<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0and developed in partnership with the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ciusss-centresudmtl.gouv.qc.ca\/\">CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l\u2019\u00cele-de-Montr\u00e9al<\/a><\/strong>, with the support of the DPJ Youth Foundation and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lavalensante.com\/en\/care-and-services\/access-to-services\/\">Laval CISSS.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-message us_custom_65d5424c color_custom
